SCOPE OF PROJECTS
We build custom homes, build additions, remodel kitchens, remodel bathrooms and provide design services. We have highly dedicated crew leaders and journeymen that stay on the project all the way through to completion. For larger projects we use in house crew of journeymen / apprentices along with qualified, reputable, and legal sub-contractor tradesmen. For smaller projects we like to keep the labor in house whenever possible. All of the men and women that work for us are legal citizens. We provide design services and also work in tandem with professional designers, architects and structural engineers to lessen any burden to our client. We are proud to work in tandem with Clockwise Designs and All Structural Consulting Engineers, Inc..
PROCESSES INVOLVED IN PROJECTS
We follow the “critical path method” in building and remodeling. For example: We will not begin a remodel project until all items such as cabinets, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, stones, tiles and permanent fixtures have been purchased and are on the site. This eliminates any guess work in laying out the project for time to receive items that are needed for specific phases. This means that our efficiency in completing the project is very high and our finished product is true and symmetrical.
CONCERNS OF HOMEOWNERS
We will never begin demolition and leave your project to work on another one. This concern has been voiced several times as a “nightmare” contractor experience.
As one homeowner put it; “you never know what is behind the walls until they are opened up.” As such, one of the concerns that a lot of homeowners communicate is change orders that they may incur. Some contractors see this as an opportunity to pile money on to the cost of the project. We, however, are sensitive to the fact that change orders are an added, sometimes unexpected burden to the client. If a change order becomes necessary, we perceive this as an opportunity to be fair, reasonable and integral. As such, we are able to retain a strong professional relationship with our clientele, get called back for future projects and earn the trust of their referrals.
Bidding on projects with the attention on eliminating change orders will make any contractor's price higher than the contractor who is simply trying to get their foot in the door. This simple fact lends itself towards a more detailed, inclusive estimate proposal and makes our proposal more of a firm bid rather than an estimate. We would always urge our potential clients to look for the detail in their bids as compared to the bottom line cost differences.
